I’ve had lots of people the last couple of days joke around with me about “what am I going to do now that sports is cancelled.” Let’s be honest for a second, though. This is a way that I make money. Not a lot but it is used.

But what about the other people? The people that do this for a full time job. The people that write and cover sports. What do they do? What about the people who work in the arena? The ushers. The people working the concession stands. Those people rely on this to help pay their bills. To provide for their families.

The athletes that make millions. Yeah, they’ll be fine. The billionaire owners. They’re going to do ok. It’s all the other people out there that I’m concerned for.

For some people, sports is away of escape. For some its a waste of time. For others, though, it’s a way of life.
