Quarantine thoughts
While sports is on a hiatus, I have been knocking out some new projects. I wrote a play and started a couple of new podcasts. One about sports and another about nothing in particular.
I have some other projects I want to work on, complete and even start. One of those projects is writing a book. I’ve had the idea to write a book for a while. The problem is I have three different books that I want to write. And when I say three, I mean three completely different genres of books.
This quarantine thing is really teaching me something: be creative. That seems to be the theme for this period of time. Whether its finding new recipes to try out or being artistic, this is a time of creativity.
I hope the lesson has been learned. At least for myself. Eventually, everything will open back up and we’ll see life get back to a sense of normalcy. I hope and pray that when that happens, I don’t lose the creative mentality that seems to have manifested during this time.
I hope the desire to be creative is still just as fresh and alive as I feel it during this time. I don’t know what the new normal is going to look like. I’m not sure how my life will be impacted going forward. I cannot control any of that. What I can control, though, is being creative and that is a win-win.
