New Schedule
It’s been a weird couple of weeks. After a large layoff, our company decided to change our work hours from five 8-hour days to four 10-hour days. Instead of going in at 7am, we are going in at 6am. Instead of getting off at 3:30pm, we are getting off at 4:30pm. It has taken some time to get used to but it is nice getting three days off every weekend, though.
However, this means I’ve had to change my schedule up some too. My day now starts at 3:30am. That’s when my alarm goes off. I am at the gym by 4am for a 45 minute workout. Then back home to get ready for the workday. I’m at the radio station by 5:25am to record sports and then usually pulling into the work parking lot by 5:45 or 5:50 every morning.
The evening time is usually time for me to mow the yard or other yard work. Sometimes I’ll go for a bike ride with the wife. The weekends are usually reserved for bike riding with her. The schedule has taken some time to get used to but now that I’m several weeks into it, I’m starting to get used to it.
