I struggle with this as well. Do I want people to know whether or not I’ve “read” their iMessage. Sometimes I feel like this is a good idea and other times I think maybe its not a good idea. I don’t like them turned on for emails. I don’t want people knowing if I’ve read their emails or not. Why should I treat text messages differently?

Vincent makes a great point here. This is only my business to know, right?

For today’s task, I have disabled the “Focus” status sharing in iOS15. It’s only my business to know, just like read receipts. I do like Focus though and it’s a small step towards better digital health at a more global scale. More needs to be done though.
