Driving Observations (pt 2)
I should have included this in the original post but I will make it a separate post.
We have all seen the data when it comes to texting and driving. Yet, I can’t tell you the number of people I see on the street that have their phone out while driving. I use voice-to-text quite often. Even when I’m not driving, you’ll catch me sending text messages via voice-to-text.
I use that while driving if I need to send a quick text message out before I forget. Most of the time, though, the message can wait. Nothing is so important that I put the lives of other people in danger by sending a text message.
iPhones have the ability to turn on “Driving Mode” when it detects you are driving and it will automatically turn on DO NOT DISTURB. I’m assuming certain Android features have something similar. Perhaps we should start taking advantage of that feature more and turn it on. Your life or the life of someone you care about could depend on it.
Regardless how you do it, please stop texting and driving!
