My normal workout routine looks like this:

M-F: I wake up at 3:30 and hit the gym at 4am. This is usually weights for 45 minutes.
Mon, Wed, Thurs: Afternoon/Evening time Cardio (usually biking or walking for 45 minutes to an hour)
Sat, Sun: Cardio of some type.

I’ve been doing this schedule for a long time. It works for me. I like it. I hit every body part once with weights. I throw in some core work as well. I’m able to get about 5 cardio sessions in a week.

This brings me to the point of this post: Why the heck am I so sore this week? I’m talking I could barely walk after Monday’s leg workout (my legs are still sore as a matter of fact). My back aches every time I flinch because of how sore it is.

Then it hit me: I’m getting old. That’s all there is to it!
