I love carrying a pen with me. I started carrying one around about a year ago. I switch between several different types that go in my front right pocket. It’s handy to have, especially since I’ve been carrying around a notebook as well.

The last couple of weeks, though, I have found myself writing more and more with pencil. Whether that’s in my aforementioned notebook. Or perhaps in my planner that I am using. I am finding joy in using a pencil instead of a pen. Now, don’t get me wrong, I still love pens and using them.

I’m not sure why the pencil has taken over, though. Perhaps its the ability to erase something. Maybe its because they don’t tend to smear like pen ink does. Or if it does, you can erase it. Now, I haven’t gone as far as carrying a pencil with me all the time but I’m starting to wonder if I should. Perhaps I should put the pencil inside my pocket with the notebook.
