One of my goals for this summer is to form some productive habits. A few of those include journaling on a regular basis, not spending so much time on my devices (phone, iPad, etc) and being more present in the moment.

A couple of things I’m working on is limiting social media (if you’re seeing this on Twitter and or Mastodon, its because its automatically posting from my blog). Another thing I’m trying to do is carry a camera with me so I’m not dependent on my phone all the time. Whether its a point-and-shoot camera or my Cannon T6i, I want to learn how to be better at photography.

The journaling is the thing I’m most excited about, though. I’ve been playing around with physical journaling versus digital journaling. Right now I’m using both. I’m not sure if I’ll continue this method or if I’ll switch to one or the other full time. Both methods have pros and cons. I plan on working this summer to figure out what is best for my needs.

There are other things that I’m working on this summer. Some involve eliminating certain things in my life. Others involve adding or changing things in my life. All of this is for the sole purpose of bettering my life. So if you don’t hear from me as much, I’m not mad or disgruntled. I’m probably just out enjoying life.
