I’m in my early 40’s and I have never seen anything like what’s happening in the World. And I don’t mean the pandemic. Well I do in a sense because I have never seen anything like that either. However, I’m talking about the opportunity the church has right before its eyes. This generation has not seen anything like this. Who would have thought something like this was possible with all the technology we have and the science to get out in front of a virus.

Seeing everyone post their work-from-home setups and I wonder if they took a picture from the internet. They’re all too neat and setup too nice. My setup is thrown all over the dining room table.

Killing Two Lawn Mowers with One Yard

Somehow I managed to kill to lawn mowers today. Not sure what I did but both of them (mine and my father-in-laws) both started out working just fine. Then, a few minutes into the conquest of slaying the forest in the back yard, they both started sputtering and just died. Now, they won’t even fire up. Nothing. They’re both sitting in the driveway next to each other. Meanwhile, the forest is growing taller and taller.

Sports Held Hostage: Day 15

Hard to believe it’s been over two weeks since Rudy Gobert’s positive Covid-19 test. In reality it seems like a lifetime ago. In those two weeks we watched every sporting event shut down. Although leagues are talking about a restart date and when they could possibly try and get a season up and running, we have nothing yet. The sad reality hits today when you realize this is opening day!!! Or should I say this should be opening day.

With work hours being cut, this is my Friday. Not that it matters since we’re all basically staying at home right now. Hopefully everyone is staying safe out there.

Sports Held Hostage: Day 13

It was one week ago today they sent us home with the mandate to work from home for a while. Nobody knows how long “a while” is. We are all in a holding pattern. By “we” I mean the entire country. Shoot the entire world for that matter. It’s weird. The uncertainty of tomorrow. The unkown. Its still weird to turn on the TV at night and not have any live sports.

I can’t tell if my cat is happy I’m at home all day, every day or if he is looking for ways to get me out of the house.

Working from home again tody. I’m starting to settle into a routine which is nice. I’m going to get comfortable with this routine and then it’ll all change again. However, I’m not complaining when that happens. I’m ready for normalcy. Whatever that may look like.

This has been a weird week for most people. I think, though, it’s starting to show some people (myself included) what a real priority is in life. Sometimes we think we know what is priority and what is not. However, we’re finding out reality doesn’t fit our lifestyle.

Sports Held Hostage: Day 10

Hard to believe we’re on day number 10. This has been a crazy week. My work decided it was best to practice social distancing on Tuesday afternoon and they sent the majority of us home to work remotely. That’s taken some getting used to. Today is the first day of no gym. The grocery stores are completely bare. I don’t understand the hoarding. I mean I get being prepared but come on.
