The Exploding Lung Conundrum

Every morning (well weekdays) I get up at 3:30am and am at the gym by 4am. I usually lift weights. In the evening time I’ll do some cardio type exercises with the wife. Well last night, we went for a 4 mile walk. Somewhere in that walk, one of us had the great idea to start running (I’ll let you guess who’s idea it was but it wasn’t mine). We only ran about a mile to a mile and a half but I can promise my lungs felt like they were about to explode.

“America Says” has me hooked!

Seemed like a good day for Starbucks. Ordered on my app on the phone at 5:30. Went to pick it up. Walked up to the door and the sign said they don’t open until 6:30 now. That would have been nice to know ahead of time. Luckily they refunded my coffee purchase.

The Weekend that Flew By!!!

This was a crazy, good weekend. Here’s a quick rundown: Thursday: I drove 550 miles (back and forth to Dallas twice). Picked up one of my favorite people from the airport and capped it off by broadcasting a playoff football game. Friday: Errands and another playoff football game broadcast. Saturday: Wrote a story for the local paper on Friday night’s playoff game. Then a 90th birtday party for my grandma. Ended the night with some stacked enchiladas.

My Weekend Sports Observations for Nov. 9, 2020

We are past the halfway point of the NFL season. We have a new start date for the NBA and another legend gone. Here’s my sports observations for the weekend. In my heart of hearts, I know that I could never succeed on Jeopardy. However, when they decided to put a sports category up there, I was suckered into believing I could win it all. One of my favorite things about that show was the host, Alex Trebek.

A Country Divided

This past week I kept hearing the term divided nation. Most of the time, it’s being spoken about democrats vs republicans. Half the country wants Biden. Half the country wants Trump. We’re divided. I usually don’t write anything political. I don’t usually discuss politics with people. I have my beliefs and, I’m of the mindset, that more than likely I’m not going to change your opinion politically. More than likely, you’re old enough to do your own research.
